THE CHALLENGE
Where the work started.
Clinical teams rely on accurate equipment information, practical training, and clear documentation. My internship connected biomedical engineering with those everyday hospital needs.
MY CONTRIBUTION
Engineering contributions.
Organize equipment information
Built a surgical instrument tracking database in collaboration with the surgical support team to support inventory control and maintenance workflows.
Support staff and technicians
Created e-learning modules and training videos covering surgical laser equipment and safety protocols.
Contribute to procurement and planning
Supported equipment needs and cost analysis, contributed to RFP preparation, created AutoCAD room drawings for radiation safety, and assisted with dose calculations.
OUTCOMES
What came out of it.
- Delivered instrument tracking and training resources for hospital teams.
- Contributed technical documentation to equipment procurement and radiation safety workflows.
Good engineering support starts with understanding how people actually work, then making their information and tools easier to use.Talk to me about this work
